What's in our name?

In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Juliet asks: “What’s in a name?” To her, a name is just a name and doesn’t really matter. Our name, however, has a story to tell.

The name Infanion is inspired by the Latin word infans, the origin of the English word infant. It represents something at the beginning of its journey, something that will grow, develop and mature over time. That idea has been part of Infanion from the start. Custom software begins in much the same way: with an idea. Together with our customers, we turn that idea into something real, shaping and developing it step by step into a mature software solution, from first idea to real business impact.

And just like anything you want to see grow and succeed, great software needs more than technology. It requires listening and understanding. Structure and guidance. Flexibility when things change. Commitment when challenges arise. And people who genuinely care about the outcome.

That’s also where the connection with infans becomes very real. We treat every project a little like our own child. Like parents, we want to give it everything it needs to grow, succeed and make impact: attention, guidance, respect, encouragement, flexibility, dedication and commitment. There are challenges to overcome and, yes, sometimes even worries. But above all, it comes with a lot of fun. We love what we do and love seeing our projects grow and succeed, just as parents love seeing their children grow and find their way.

So, what’s in our name? Quite a lot, actually. It tells the story of how we approach every project: from idea to impact.
